To be eligible for a ZerO2Nature® Seal, participants must have their projects conforming to the ZerO2Nature® Standard. The process begins with a survey of all negative, positive and neutral emissions of a specified productive cycle. The emissions inventory will enable to establish project activities that will result in DTUs. ZerO2Nature® Projects are not solely concerned with greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Any pollutant that can´t be absorbed by Nature is a target for ZerO2Nature® project activities (considering the regional base line).

ZerO2Nature® Seals are divided in the following categories:

O2N 0-10% - ZerO2Nature® Yellow Seal. This seal certifies that up to 10% of negative emissions in the productive cycle were neutralized. This certification is only possible through the adoption of measures that optimize the productive cycle itself. The purchase of 02N credits, for neutralizing a productive cycle, is not considered for this seal.

02N 10-20% - ZerO2Nature® Green Seal. This seal certifies that between 10% and 20% of negative emissions in the productive cycle were neutralized. This certification requires a minimum of 10% of optimization measures in the productive cycle itself. Thereafter, the acquisition of 02N credits to neutralize up to 50% of negative emissions in the process is permitted.

02N 20-50% - ZerO2Nature® Blue Seal . This seal certifies that between 31% and 50% of negative emissions in the productive cycle were neutralized. This certification requires a minimum of 10% of optimization measures in the productive cycle itself. Thereafter, the acquisition of 02N credits to neutralize up to 50% of negative emissions in the process is permitted.

02N 51-70% - ZerO2Nature® Silver Seal . This seal certifies that between 51% and 70% of negative emissions in the productive cycle were neutralized. This certification requires a minimum of 15% of optimization measures in the productive cycle itself. Thereafter, the acquisition of 02N credits to neutralize up to 70% of negative emissions in the process is allowed.

02N 71-90% - ZerO2Nature® Gold Seal. This seal certifies that between 71% and 90% of negative emissions in the productive cycle were neutralized. This certification requires a minimum of 20% of optimization measures in the productive cycle itself. Thereafter, the acquisition of 02N credits to neutralize up to 90% of negative emissions in the process is allowed.

02N 100% - ZerO2Nature® Purple Seal . This seal certifies that above 91% of the negative emissions of the productive cycle were neutralized. This certification requires a minimum of 25% of optimization measures in the productive cycle itself. Thereafter, the acquisition of 02N credit is allowed for up to 100% neutralization of negative emissions in the process.
